The Tide is currently accepting submissions on a rolling basis for web features on issues concerning the environment, society and culture. We share and produce beautifully written articles with visual elements.

Do you have a photo essay that you would like us to publish? A pitch for a feature article? A short film or photography collection you want to share? We’re looking for artists and artworks engaging in human-centred narratives at the intersection of the environment, social justice and culture.

Any submitted proposal should touch on at least one of the following themes. Below are some suggested topics within each theme you may want to directly or indirectly explore.

Environment: Nature, Landscape, Climate, Conservation, Sustainable Practices

Social Justice: Racial Injustice, Refugee Crisis, Indigenous Rights, Community Initiatives, Food Insecurity, Healthcare

Culture: Travel, Heritage/Ancestry, Celebration and Ritual, Language

Submissions for features, if accepted, will be published on the Tide magazine. As we operate as a small team of volunteers, we are unable to offer financial support for content but hope to do so soon! We try to reply to all submissions and we really do read every project and appreciate every submission we get.
